Just look at internet billionaire and Dallas Mavic’s owner, Mark Cuban, that has a net worth estimated to be 2$ billion. He bought his Dallas Mansion for $15 million without ever laying his eyes on it.

The 58 year old, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal of Saudi of Arabia, build a 400,000 square foot palace for $130 million in 1997. The palace has 317 rooms, 20 foot high water fountain, 75 foot high staircase, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, screening room, bowling alley, beauty salon and 530 TV’s throughout the palace. Visitors have been lost inside his palace that’s why everyone has to walk inside the palace with a walkie-talkie. Prince Al-Waleed has 130 workers that work for him in the palace.

Billionaires sometimes don’t want next door neighbors and they are probably the only people on earth that can afford not to have them. That’s why the pay extreme amounts of money to get complete privacy. One of the richest man on the planet, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, has a 66,000 square foot mega mansion that he bought for $140 million in Seattle. In addition, he also bought the eleven surrounding real estates for a total of $14.5 million to make sure he never has to deal with the neighbor.

Bill Gates’ co-founder Paul Allen, with a net worth of $22 billion, built a 7.5 acre, 47,000 square foot compound on Washington states Mercer Island. He paid a total of $120 million for the compound that has five mansions, including a 10,000 square foot mega mansion for Paul Allen himself and a 6500 square foot mansion for his mother.

Oracle founder, Larry Ellison, takes it to the extreme when it comes to privacy from neighbors. He has a net worth of $16 billion. He owns a $245 million worth of real estate around the world. In 2003 he bought a large amount of real estates in Malibu’s most exclusive area, Carbon Beach, making him the only man in the area. Previous owners of the real estates were approached by Larry Alison himself who knocked on their front door and made them an offer they couldn’t refuse. He has paid over $100 million on real estate in Malibu Beach alone.
