Olav Thon is a Norwegian businessman and one of the wealthiest people in Norway. He was born 29 June 1923 in Hallingdal. Thon is the major shareholder of Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap, a company with major interests in the Norwegian real estate industry. He had a fortune of approximately $890 million in 2010.
